If you feel a connection to Karen, you probably have a playful heart that has been wounded by some kind of trauma. Perhaps you come from a home with mental illness or substance abuse. You may have been sexually abused as a child or sexually assaulted as an adult. You have probably failed at some things and struggle with self-esteem.
Karen loves to write--about everything. She left a thirty-year college English teaching career to teach Reiki, which helped her heal the painful issues in her own life. She loves helping others learn Reiki to lift the layers of pain to discover and heal the child within. Reiki empowers us to not only repair the damage we have accumulated from living a human life, but it also guides us to develop the gifts we have in order to serve each other, Earth, and all the beings inhabiting this planet with us.
Karen has visited more than twenty countries, and she loves connecting with people all over the world. Travel is one of her favorite writing subjects.
If you are intellectually curious, Karen’s academic background will resonate with you. She has an A.A. in Theatre, a B.A. in German with a minor in Spanish, and an M.A. in English, with an emphasis in comparative literature. She taught college-level writing and world literature courses for more than thirty years. She is a bit of a nerd. But she loves classic rock and knows the lyrics to practically every rock song from the 60s through the 90s. And she curses sometimes.
If you need a teacher to help you cross the bridge from raw, hard experience in life to the mysterious, magical world of metaphysics, take a class with Karen. She herself has made the journey back and forth many times, and she would be honored to be your guide on your own odyssey of self-discovery.
